Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This privacy policy (“Policy”) describes how Alice collects, protects, and uses personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) that you (“User”, “you” or “your”) may provide in the Alice application and any of its products or services (collectively, “Mobile Application” or “Services”). It also describes the choices you have regarding our use of your personal information and how you can access and update that information. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies we do not own or control, or to people we do not employ or manage.

2. Collecting Information

We receive and store information about you such as:

  • Information You Provide to Us: We collect information you provide to us, including: your name, gender, e-mail address, address or postal code, payment method(s), telephone number, and date of birth. We collect this information in a number of ways, including when you enter it when using our service or when you interact with our customer service department. Information when you choose to give feedback, implement partner preferences, account settings, or provide us with information through our service or elsewhere.
  • Information We Collect Automatically: We collect information about you and your use of our service, your interactions with us and our advertisements, as well as information about your network and network devices. This information includes:
    • Your activity on the Alice application, such as mistakes made, lessons you interacted with, and training partners you spoke to.
    • Your interactions with our e-mails and SMS, and with our messages via push and online messaging channels.
    • Details of your interactions with our customer service, such as date, time, and reason for contacting us, transcripts of all chat conversations, and if you call us, your phone number and call records.
    • Device ID or other unique identifiers.
    • Location coordinates (latitude, longitude), resettable device identifiers (also known as advertising identifiers), such as those for mobile devices.
    • Device and software characteristics (such as type and configuration), connection information, including type (Wi-Fi, cellular), IP address (which may tell us your general location), browser and standard web server connection information.

3. Use of Information

We may use the information we collect for a variety of purposes, including:

  • To determine your general geographic location in order to offer relevant localized content and solutions.
  • To operate the Service, monitor the effectiveness of the Service, improve the content of the Service, and improve layout and design.
  • To provide you with a smooth and efficient user experience.
  • To monitor, analyze, and describe usage patterns and performance of the Service, including aggregate measures such as total visitors, traffic, and demographic patterns.
  • To perform system administration and troubleshooting, and to diagnose or resolve technology problems.
  • To comply with legal requirements and processes (for example, in response to subpoenas, court orders, and law enforcement or government requests or investigations), and to protect our legal rights or the rights of others (for example, in striving to reduce the risk of fraud or misuse of the Service).
  • With respect to the information collected via the Application described in the Automatically Collected Information section above, to assist with marketing efforts, including, for example, personalizing and serving advertisements, and tracking the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
  • In connection with a business transaction, such as bankruptcy or liquidation, sale, purchase, or merger with our company or another company.

Data Retention: We will retain your information for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. In many cases, we will retain your data for as long as is necessary for your use of the Service, which may include retaining such information beyond the time you stop using the Service. For example, Alice may retain user data for the following purposes:

  • To develop new features and improve the Service.
  • To support future customer service requests.
  • To improve the safety and security of the Service; or to comply with our legal obligations.

You may also ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you by writing to us at contact@alice.com.

4. Disclosure of Information

We will not rent or sell your personal information to third parties, nor will we share your personal information...

5. Your E-mail and SMS Choices

If you no longer wish to receive certain communications from us by e-mail or SMS, you can write to us at contact@alice.com or contact our customer service department. Please note that you cannot unsubscribe from our service-related correspondence, such as messages relating to your account transactions.

6. Push Notifications

You can choose to receive mobile push notifications from Alice. On some device operating systems, you will be automatically subscribed to notifications. If you later decide that you no longer wish to receive these notifications, you can use the settings feature on your mobile device to disable them.

7. Your Information and Rights

You can request access to your personal information or correct or update outdated or inaccurate personal information we hold about you. You may also ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you. For other requests, or if you have a question about our privacy practices, please contact us at contact@alice.com.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, logical, physical, and managerial measures to protect your personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, use, or modification. These measures are designed to provide a level of security appropriate to the risks involved in processing your personal information.

9. Children

You must be at least 18 years of age or older to use the Alice application. Minors can not use the service.

10. Changes to This Privacy Statement

We will update this privacy statement from time to time in response to changing legal, regulatory, or operational requirements. We will notify you of such changes (including their effective date) in accordance with the law. Your continued use of the Alice application after such updates become effective will constitute your acknowledgment and (if applicable) acceptance of such changes. 11. Legal Disclosure

We will disclose any information we collect, use, or receive if required or permitted to do so by law, for example, to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process, and when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request. In the event that we go through a business transition, such as a merger or acquisition by another company, or the sale of all or a portion of its assets, your user account and personal data will likely be among the assets transferred.

You acknowledge that you have read this policy and agree to all of its terms and conditions. By using the mobile application or its services, you agree to be bound by this policy. If you do not agree to abide by the terms of this policy, you are not authorized to use or access the mobile application and its services.
